1680154 ? ? \ A’ -i ... - Thank you for the reference to Agropyron repens littoreum Anders. Bicknell cites a paper by Scribner & Smith, and the specimens cited "Scribner, Cape Elizabeth, Me.", 1 find marked "var. littoreum Anders." in Smith’s writing, i'hefcfc-a re three sheets of ordinary A. repens with awn-tipped lemmas, and pubes- cent^lower sheaths, neither oharaoter unusual for repens. V.hat A. repens v. litoreum Anderss. from Scandinavia is 1 do not iaiow. Y,e have not attenpted to work up the European forms of this species, except such as are found in Korth America, American puzzles, as you see being enough for us. My Brazilian grasses have Just been mounted and there will be endless more puzzles. An agrostologist*s life is not dull, anywayJ Sincerely yours, fj¡¡z
