scandent about halfway up. Internodes 25-30 cm
ones to 60 cm long hollow with thick walls, beco^g SSt
solid toward apex of culm, terete, lightly pubescent „1T
band ca. 1 cm wide just below node. Many branches/nidf.Culm
leaves densely pilose abaxially; sheath apex and shoulders
ciliate, with more cilia on the overlapping margin- blade^
reflexed, about 1/3 the sheath length.	*
