Mun. de Ibirataia, 23 km N of Ibirataia, on side, road con-
necting with BR 101, Faz. Macedonia. Elev. 250 m. Growing
in small clumps in humid forest of tall trees. Climbing
bamboo, with thin, weak culms, ca. 0.75-1»25 cm diam.
Culm leaf caducous with reflexed blade. Many.thin branches
per node, the node with a narrow white line around it.
In some places of the forest it grows with Merostachys sp.
(CEC et al.' 2358).
