  • Description

    Herbaceous vine on shrubs, growing up to 2 m above ground level. Specimens made from one long piece growing in sun. Petals white, top of inner lamina golden-yellow. Filaments white, anthers light-buff. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

of rolling terrain; (3)^satalv, closed, deciduous to
evergreen forest, in galleries ; (U) "castings”, open
deciduous forest on lower parts of rolling terrain;
(5)"varjso", scattered deciduous forest-type trees
on low fist land; (6)"cocal", dense babagu palm
groves on Pamafba River terrace & some brook vaL-
leys* Dry sesson 4^-5 months with almost no rain;
brooks intermittent. Annual fires & cattle grazing
in all areas* Some spots with dense secondary cha-
pada scrub ("carrasco") ; much tabulaire cleared^to
form grsssy pasture; much mats, caatinga & varjao
in shifting cultivation«
