  • Habitat

    On 15° north-facing sandy slope below hilltop. Exposed windswept hilltop covered by Artemisia tridentata scrub surrounded by Pinus jefftyi forest on leeward slope. With Purshia tridentata, Grayia spinosa, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Ceanothus velutinus, Tetradymia canescens, Achnatherum hymenoides, Lupinus argenteus, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus. Common. Decomposed pumice ashfall soil with occasional quartz lattie outcrops.

Exposed windswept hilltop covered by Artemisia tridentata scrub,
surrounded by Pinusjefftyi forest on leeward slopes.
Decomposed pumice ashfall soil with occsaional quartz lattite
outcrops. With Purshia tridentata, Grayia spinosa,
Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Ceanothus velutinus Tetradymia
canescens, Achnatherum hymenoides, Lupinus argenteus,
Chysothamnus viscidiflorus.
