Along the ridgetop and south-facing slope south of the meterological station ("Meteo Sta.") and field cabin, and south of the main trail from Lagodekhi to Meteo Station, from about 41º52'13"N, 46º21'31"E southwest along the ridge to a point about 41º52'00"N, 46º21'00"E, from about 2100-2200 m elevation.

    Associated with scattered ferns, grasses, Alchemilla, Ligusticum and Rubus under an overstory of Acer, Fagus, Quercus and Sorbus.
