    In rocky (sandstone) clay soil on southeast-facing slope with Juniperus, Pinus, Purshia, Artemisia and Ephedra.

  • Description

    Plants annual, with fine cobwebby hairs below and sparse, black-tipped glands above; calyx nearly glabrous, the lobes acuminate; corolla to 9 mm long; corolla tube ± exerted, sparsely glandular; corolla throat yellowish at full anthesis, with no hint of purple; corolla lobes lavender, often with medial purple blotch or streaks; pollen pale lavender. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
