Habitat
On minor ridge of glacial deposits at bottom of canyon; flat to gently north and east facing slope with loose dry rocky (quartzite) soil. In opening between stands of Picea engelmanii and Abies lasiocarpa with Potentilla ovina and Erigeron compositus. Locally abundant.
