Cultivated ornamental. Scrambling vine. Inflorescence making a showy display; corollas light violet with yellow-green star in center, but only 4-rayed, the lower ray absent; anthers yellow with purple, slightly tapered, not "oblong"; lower stamen with longer filament than the others, the upper four stamens in slightly unequal pairs. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
