Habitat
Growing out of the rapidly running clear water of the stream, in a low, narrow gallery.

Description
Small tree, 12 cm dbh, trunk broken off at 4.5 m. Bark fairly smooth but showing a pattern of shallow cracking like the surface of an oil-painting. Corolla and staminal filament 'tube' waxy cream. Flowers with a strong, pleasant, vanilla-custard smell. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
