    Tree. Unbranched cauliflorous tree, 5 m tall, c. 15 cm dbh. Flowers yellow, calyx green. Fruits 1-seeded, (immature) brown outside, the pulp and embryo creamish-white. Leaf blades to 150 x 40 cm.
