With Castilleja linariifolia, Amsonia tomentosa stenophylla, Gilia sunuda, Populus, Tamarix, Asclepias latifolia, A. macrosperma, Salix gooddingii, Astragalus molissimus, Oenothera longissima, Thymophylla pentachaeta, Hymenoxys argentea, Yucca angustissima toftiae, Gilia hutchsinfolia, Gaillardia, Penstemon eatonii, Senecio multiobatus, Fendlera rupicola, Coleogyne ramosissima, Chrysothamnus, Stanleya wrightii, Juniperus, Sphaeralcea leptophylla, Fraxinus anomala, Galium, Oenothera pallida, Bromus rubens, Rhus trilobata simplicifolia, Opuntia polyacantha erinaceae, Brickellia microphylla scabra. Locally common. Cryptogamic and sandy soil.
