Short-herb campo over laterite pavement (natural undisturbed vegetation & site.) Carpet of sedges and herbs 15 cm. tall with a few scattered Mimosa shrubs to 0.5 m. tall.

Petals reddish-violet. Adaxial surface of this limb of upper sepal yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
