Frond small, 2-3 cm. high* dark red, terete, dichotomously branched;
branches somewhat inflated-tubnlose, almost bulbose at the ends; cysto-
carps immersed in the frond.

On boulders constantly washed by waves at low tide. Mouth of stream.
Hakalua, Hawaii, Territory of Hawaii.
