Both cystocarpic and tetrasporic plants.

Fronds 8-10 cm. in height, irregular in outline, irregularly dichotom-
ously branched four or five times; branches short, turgid, terete, with tips
more or less blunt; cystocarps irregularly situated upon the branches, pro-
jecting considerably to one side; tetraspores immersed in the cortex, tri-
partite or cruciate; antheridia ?	go 3

This species is to be distinguished by its irregular and rather scanty	Oi

branching and by its robust, cylindrical, short frond.
