TYPE OF:

7^ Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew,

presents his compliments to Dr. Marshall a. Howe,

¿272¿/	/<? acknowledge with thanks the specimen of Udotea

Wilsoni, Gepp and Howe^presented to the Kew Herbarium. The
Director encloses some fragments of what he takes to be Micro-
coelia chilensis, J. Ag. The specimens were found at the end of
the genu3 Callymenia, and they are the only one*? collected by
Harvey in Chile and inscribed by him "Kallymenia” that occur in
the covers of that genus. It is represented by three fine
specimens, and appears to agree well with J. Agardh’s description.
