Fairly openly branched tree to 1.2 m,
trunk 30 cm diam. Bark smooth in portions
and flaking in other areas, greyish-brown.
Flowers very strongly scented with a
heady perfume noticeable 50 feet from tree.
Alive with bees in upper portion of tree.
Foliage discoloured, shiny dark green above,
paler below. Calyx green, petals yellow
with a tinge of tangerine. Standard petal
with central yellow blotch surrounded by
a blood red band.
