  Orquídea terrestre atractiva con una inflorescencia que puede alcanzar 3 pies de alto, hojas largas palmeadas deciduas y cormos subterráneos. Se encuentra a orillas de carreteras, lugares abiertos y regiones pantanosas en elevaciones medias y altas de Puerto Rico. Nativa de África está ampliamente distribuida en los trópicos americanos. Terrestrial attractive orchid with an inflorescence that can reach 3 feet of height, long palmed deciduous leaves, and underground corms. It can be found along borders of highways, in opened places, and marshy regions at medium and high elevations of Puerto Rico. Native of Africa, it is widely distributed in the American Tropics.
