  Planta espinosa que puede crecer hasta 3 pies de altura con flores blancas y frutos redondos pequeños anaranjados o rojizos. Se ha usado como planta ornamental. Tiene compuestos que pueden ser tóxicos al organismo. Crece silvestre a orillas de carreteras y pasturas en elevaciones bajas y medias del este Puerto Rico. Está distribuida en las Antillas, sur de Estados Unidos, América Tropical, oeste de África y este de Asia. Thorny plant that can grow to 3 feet of height with white flowers and orange or reddish small round fruits. It has been used as an ornamental plant. It has compounds that can be toxic. It grows wild along borders of highways and in pastures at low and medium elevations of eastern Puerto Rico. It is distributed in the Antilles, the South of the United States, Tropical America, the West of Africa, and the East of Asia.
