  Planta herbácea o arbusto pequeño de 6 pies de alto de tallo erecto o decumbente con hojas afelpadas, flores pequeñas agrupadas en cabezuelas en ramilletes axiliares, corolas amarillas o anaranjadas y frutos en cápsulas. Abunda en pastos y terrenos baldíos en elevaciones bajas de Puerto Rico y las Islas de Mona, Desecheo y Vieques. Está distribuida en los trópicos y subtrópicos de ambos hemisferios. Herbaceous plant or small shrub of 6 feet of height of straight or decumbent stem, plush branches leaves, and small flowers grouped in axilar small heads in racemes with yellow or orange corolla, and fruits in capsules. Abundant in the uncultivated grass and lands at low elevations of Puerto Rico and the Islands of Mona, Desecheo and Vieques. It is distributed in the Tropical and Subtropics of both Hemispheres.
