  Arbusto siempre verde de 6 a 10 pies de alto y 3 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Se identifica por las venas de las hojas características de esta familia y flores en pedúnculos esbeltos. Esta especie endémica tiene su hábitat en los bosques costeros húmedos del este, norte, oeste y de la baja Cordillera Central de Puerto Rico. Se encuentra también en Tortola. Evergreen shrub of six to 10 feet of stop and 3 inches of diameter in the trunk. It is identified by the characteristic venation of this family on the leaves and the flowers in svelte peduncles. This endemic species has its habitat in the humid coastal forests of the East, North, and West and of the low Central Mountain range of Puerto Rico. It is also found in Tortola.
