Middle of a leaf as viewed from the abaxial side of Couratari asterophora based on M. Ribeiro et al. 928 from the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil. Note that the intersecondary veins begin to ramify about one-third of the way between the midrib and the leaf blade margin.
