    Species Description - Stems 3–8 dm from a slender rhizome; basal lvs slender-petioled, broadly cordate, repand, 5–8 cm; cauline lvs short-petioled, pinnately divided into 3–7 segments, the terminal lobe broadly ovate or deltoid, much larger than the lateral ones; infl small with short, approximate branches, becoming diffusely pyramidal in age; cor-tube slender, 12–16 mm, its lobes 2–3 mm; fr lance-oblong, 5 mm, sparsely villous at least when young. Moist rich soil; Pa. and Md. to Va., Ky., and s. Ill. May, June.
