    Description - A slender straggling branching perennial, with culms 10 to 30 cm. tall, oblong-lanceolate blades mostly 1 to 2 cm. long and 3 to 5 mm. wide, ovoid panicles 2 to 4 cm. long, and elliptic glabrous spikelets about 1.5 mm. long, the first glume more than half as long as the spikelet. Our specimens have pubescent blades like the type of Panicum brasiliense.
