  Description - Spikelets several-flowered, differing from those of Poa chiefly in the rounded, scarcely compressed, obtuse or acutish, obscurely nerved lemmas, the nerves not approaching at the apex, glabrous or puberulent at the base only. Second glume about 1 mm. long; lemmas about 1.5 mm. long..... 1. P. parvula. Second glume 1.5 to 2 mm. long ; lemmas about 2.5 mm. long..... 2. P. oresigena.
