Discussion
Vismia viridiflora has the general appearance of V. cayennensis, from which it differs in its fine, almost microscopic puberulence on the lower surfaces of the more narrowly lanceolate leaves. The other distinguishing characters mentioned by Triana and Planchon, and illustrated by Fendler 6 from Panama, are minor and without taxonomic significance.
