 Species Description - Similar to L. nodiflora, densely appressed-strigilose, herbaceous, the stems prostrate or ascending, 2-5 dm. long. Leaves obovate, 2-6 cm. long, obtuse or acutish at the apex, cuneate at the base, coarsely and sharply dentate above, the base, usually rather prominently veined, the petioles 5-10 mm. long; peduncles mostly longer than the leaves; heads ovoid, becoming subcylindric and 2 cm. long or less; corolla white.

                                DistributionMargins of brackish marshes, savannas and pools, Eleuthera and Inagua : Cuba to St. Croix and to Barbados ; Jamaica ; Mexico to Brazil. This species is, apparently, not certainly distinct from the preceding. Larger Cheeping Lippia.
