    Species Description - Viscid-pubescent, usually much-branched, 1.5-3 dm. high the branches spreading or ascending. Stipules adnate to the petioles, their tips free, subulate; leaflets elliptic or oblong-elliptic, pubescent and ciliate, pinnately veined, acute and mucronate; flowers few, in short dense bracted spikes, the bracts villous and ciliate; loment 1-2-jointed, tipped by the hooked style-base.
