    Species Description - Plants 0.8-1.5 mm wide, glossy green to pale brown. Leaf lobes distant to subimbricate, crisped when dry, ovate, apex obtuse, margins plane, with 7-12 small teeth in upper 1/2, ventral margin some¬times entire, forming a straight line with keel. Cells in midlobe isodiametrical, ca. 20-40 µm, orientated in longitudinal rows, with very small, cordate or simple-triangular trigones; oil bodies finely granular, Jungermannia-type, 7-15 per cell. Lobules ovate to almost rounded, 1/5—1/3 of lobe length, sometimes reduced, free margin with 1(2) short teeth. Underleaves distant, 1.5-3 times stem width, margins entire, bases cuneate, plane, not auriculate. Dioicous.
