Leaf lobes widely spreading (60-90°), slightly or not falcate, asymmetrically ovate-elongate to narrowly diamond-shaped, dorsal margin conspicuously dilated beyond leaf base, lobes 1.5-2(2.5) times as long as wide, rather flat, apex acute- acuminate, dorsal and ventral margins irregularly crenulate-dentate to almost entire, teeth 1(2) cells long, a larger, 2(3)-celled tooth usually near junction with lobule. Cells in midlobe 15-35 x 15-25 µm, slightly thick-walled, trigones and intermediate thickenings small; ocelli 2, large, in a broken row near leaf base, a small one sometimes present higher up in lamina. Lobules to 1/3 of leaf length, sometimes reduced, partially or entirely inflated, apical tooth long- falcate, preapical tooth short, not crossing apical tooth. Underleaf lobes 2-4 cells long, 1-2 cells wide at base, obliquely to horizontally diverging. Dioicous. Perianth keels sharply toothed above.
