Species Description - Plants medium-sized, to 1 cm tall, yellowish to dark green, in mostly dense turfs or cushions. Leaves strongly incurved and tubu- lose when dry, oblong-ovate to spatulate, obtuse to acute, usually mucronate, 1-2.5 x 0.5-0.8 mm; margins entire or distantly dentate in upper 1/4, plane to broadly incurved; cells rounded-quadrate to hexagonal, 8-10 µm in diameter, smooth abaxially, mammillose- bulging adaxially; basal cells rectangular, thin-walled, 50-80 x 12-30 µm. Asexual propagula on brown axillary stalks, stellate to dentate-ellipsoidal, to 120 pm long. Dioicous. Setae 6-7 mm long; capsules 2-3 mm long. On wet rocks in Crique de l'Est, uncommon, but locally abundant on concrete at SaUl airport, 200 m.
