    Species Description - Plants medium-sized, 0.8-2 cm tall, pale green to pinkish; stems sparsely branched. Leaves erect-spreading, ligulate, obtuse- apiculate, fragile, 5-8 x ca. 1 mm; margins serrulate at extreme apex, slightly undulate; cross-section of costa flattened, with (2)3 layers of leucocysts on either side of the chlorocysts; laminal cells mostly hexagonal, 45-50(70) µm in longest dimension. Setae 6-10 mm long, yellow to orange; capsules 2-2.5 mm long; peristome teeth 16, papillose on outer surface.

    In hilly non- flooded moist forests, uncommon, 400-500 m, on shaded bases of trees or decaying logs or rocks.
