    Species Description - Lvs flat, 2–4 dm × 8–20 mm, long-attenuate; scape 3–7 dm; raceme 1–2 dm, loose; lower fls fertile, brown, 7–9 mm, the pedicels divaricate; terminal fls bright blue, sterile, on erect or ascending pedicels 4–6 times as long as the narrowly tubular perianth; 2n=18. Native of Europe, rarely intr. in waste places. May. (Leopoldia c.)
