    Species Description - The flowers are supported by thick, fleshy pedicels 1.8-2.5 mm long and are subtended by minute delicate bracteoles 0.7-2 × 0.2-0.5 mm. The entire mass of flowers is encircled by an irregular row of ovate-oblong, abruptly cuspidate bracts 1.5 × 1 mm which appear to line the cup of the involucre which is united at the base 7-13 mm. This involucre is formed of four prominent bracts.
