Bolivar: Chimanta Massif, northwestern part of Abacapatepui, 1210-1600 m alt., in wet mossy forest with sandstone boulders, between Camp 3 and main line of sandstone bluffs, epiphyte on tree trunk, sepals greenish, petals with lavender at base, April 17, 1953, J. Steyermark 75083; same locality, 1300 m alt., on forested slopes adjacent to quebrada, vicinity of Camp 3, epiphyte on No. 75188, leaves ascending, tiull green, April 20, 1953, Steyermark 75197 (no flowers); 125 k m south of El Dorado, about 759 m alt., common in fairly tall damp forest, G.
