Distribution
Hanging gardens and canyons along the Colorado and San Juan rivers at 1155 to 1340 m in Kane and San Juan counties, Utah, and northem Arizona; some plants called C. scirpoidea from Emery (Scad Valley), Garfield, and Iron counties, Utah, are very close to this taxon, and possibly should be placed there.
