Discussion
Arundo roraimensis N. E. Brown, Trans. Linn. Soc. II. Bot. 6: 74. 1901.
A species of rather small stature, mostly one meter tall or less, assigned by Conert to section Bifida, in his 1961 monograph of the tribe Arundineae. This is the first collection I have seen from Brazil. Previously it was known from Venezuela (Mt. Roraima, Ilu-tepui, Ptari-tepui, Chimanta Massif, Paramo de los Conejos, Sierra del Norte in Merida) and Colombia (Guadalupe, mountains east of Las Vegas, and the region of Bogota).
