Discussion
Frullania apiculata var. parva Hatt., Cryptogamie, Bryol. Lichenol. 5: 177, f 1. 1984, syn. nov. Type: AUSTRALIA. N Queensland: Devil's Thumb, W of Mossman, 9 Oct 1982, M. L. Hicks 11287 (NICH).
After I described var. parva of Frullania apiculata from Queensland (Hattori, 1984), many specimens of this taxon and var. apiculata were examined. As a result, I n o w consider var. parva to be a form of F. apiculata, and it is not necessary to distinguish it as a variety. The above-cited specimens belong to the typical form of F. apiculata.
