Distribution and Ecology - New to the Yukon. Bicentric North America and restricted to moist acidic rocks. In westen North America, known from scattered localities along coastal British Columbia and Alaska; inland, it has been found in Califomia, the Alaska and central Brooks Range, and Seward Peninsula, Alaska. The nearest eastem North American locality is Southampton Island in Hudson Bay (Murray, 1987).
