Species Description - Leaves in basal rosette, equitant at base, long, strap-like to ca. 40—50 cm X 5—7 mm. Inflorescences bracteate heads on long scape enveloped at base by open sheath, the bracts with scarious, brown margins, the margin differentiated from center of bract in color and texture. Flowers yellow.
Distribution and Ecology - In open, wet areas.
