Genus Description - Erect terrestrials resembling palm seedlings, with wiry roots. Leaves several, pergameneous, plicate-veined, petiolate. Inflorescences terminal or axillary, few-flowered racemes or panicles. Flowers ephemeral; sepals and petals subequal; lip retuse or 3-lobed, adnate to base of and enfolding column, pubescent or glabrous, with callus; column elongate, somewhat arcuate, footless; pollinia 4, granular or subceraceous.
