    Species Description - Herbs. Leaf sheaths 1.5—2 cm long, cylindrical, subglabrous, submembranous, striate, brown-ciliate at mouth and on ventral suture; petiole 1-3 mm long; blade ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, glabrous or glabrescent, sometimes minutely puberulous or setulose-scabrous beneath, 7-18 X 2-6.5 cm, asymmetrical and rounded at base, acuminate to acute at apex, the primary veins giving impression of being stitched, transverse veinlets often prominent; otherwise as in preceding taxon.

    Distribution and Ecology - Fl (Nov), Fr (Feb—Aug); weedy areas in village and frequently on rocks in streams.
