Species Description - Appressed epiphytic climbers. Stems with short internodes, 2-3 cm diam. Juvenile leaves periolate, entire. Adult leaves: petiole 40-83 cm long, sheathing for most of length, the wings persistent; blades coriaceous, entire, ovate to elliptic, 35-75 x 27 -34 cm, 1.8 - 2.3 times longer than wide, usually about twices as long as wide,± equally cuneate to acute at base, drying dark brown above, yellow - brown below, irregularly perforate on one of both sides of midrib, the perforations rarely breaking out to margins, perforations 1-8 perside, borne in a single row; primary lateral veins arising at an angle of <60º. Inflorescences with peduncle 14-22 cm long, 1/2 - 2 times length of spadix; spathe medium yellow at anthesis; spadix pale to medium yellow, 8-13 x 2-2.6 cm. Pistils turbinate to acuminate at apex. Fruiting spadix yellow to orange, 12-17 x 3-4 cm. Fl (Apr-Oct), fr (Jul-Nov), perhaps flowering year round; occasional in the understory on tree trunks.
