    Species Description - Rhizomes short-creeping, covered with black hairs. Fronds in tufts, to 10 m long, with paired, widely spaced 1-4 pairs of alternate pinnules; pinnules oblong-lanceolate, petiolulate, cuneate or subtruncate at base, the margins serrulate. Sterile pinnules 10-20 X 1-2.5 cm, with veins 1- or 2-furcate, the fertile pinnules shorter than sterile ones. Fertile pinnae; petiole and rachis yellow to pale brown; pinnae with pinnules to 10 mm long.

    Distribution and Ecology - In secondary vegetation.
