    Species Description - Rhizomes robust, erect, with dense scales. Fronds 1-2 m long, the basal part 3- or 4-pinnate; petiole robust, smooth, as long as blade; blade deltoid to pentagonal, acuminate, 1.2 X 1.2 m; rachis with fine, subcoriaceous scales; basal pinnae largest, to 55 cm long, the distal pinnae pinnatifid; pinnules linear to lanceolate, 5-15 cm long, sessile, pinnatifid; fertile ultimate segments oblong, oblique, falcate, 3-4 mm wide, with mucronate apex free of sori, the sterile ultimate segments with dentate margins; veins 1- or 2-furcate.

    Distribution and Ecology - Rare, in lowland forest.
