    Genus Description - Plants terrestrial, in forest understory near cliffs and rocks. Rhizomes erect or decumbent, with scales at apex. Fronds erect, monomorphic, 1-4-pinnate; blade linear, lanceolate, ovate, or digitately compound and orbicular; rachis and midrib winged on upper part; pinnules generally deciduous, the veins obscure, free. Sori terminal on veins, small and distantly spaced, covered by inrolled pinnule margins (false indusium).
