    Genus Description - Plants terrestrial, epilithic, or epiphytic. Rhizomes short- to long-creeping, slender or thick, covered with scales. Fronds monomorphic or dimorphic; blade pinnatifid, pinnatisect, or pinnate, rarely bipinnate-pinnatifid or simple, glabrous, pubescent, or with scales; veins free or reticulate, with included veinlets. Sori round or elongate, located at ends or junctions of veins; indusia absent; paraphyses present or absent.
