    Species Description - Rhizomes scarcely creeping, covered with reddish-brown, later bicolorous, ciliate scales 4-8 mm long. Fronds subdimorphic, entire, widely spaced; petiole very short or absent. Sterile fronds linear, 5-20 X 1-2.5 cm, with entire margins, the veins reticulate, the areoles irregular, with 0 to several included veinlets. Fertile fronds elliptic or linear, 5-15 mm wide. Sori medial, located on veinlet in areole.

    Distribution and Ecology - Common, in lowland forest.
