Species Description - Fronds to 1-2 m long; petiole short, densely or sparsely covered with brown scales, the scales 3 cm long; blade with a maximum of 20 pairs of alternate pinnae and one identical pinna at apex; pinnae 15-25 cm long; pinnules oblong, 1-2.5 X 0.5-1 cm, round or crenulate at apex; blade dark green, ± glabrous on both surfaces. Sori 3-7 per pinnule, 2-3 X 1 mm.
Distribution and Ecology - In forest understory, often in swampy areas at 200 to 600 m.
