Genus Description - Epiphytic, usually pendent, the axes simple (in species outside of our flora) or dichotomously divided into equal branches, but of indeterminate length. Sporangia borne in axils of non-modified leaves or in leaves shorter than others. Some authors (e.g., Mickel & Beitel, 1988; Proctor, 1989) consider this genus a synonym of Lycopodium.
